Weka Box Cooler features a U-tube bundle, ingeniously fitted into the sea chest on the vessel's side, effectively saving space within the engine room.
Each Weka Box Cooler is designed based on the customer's specific requirements. Dimensions, efficiency, heat exchange capacity, materials, and installation method (bottom or top) are decided by Weka engineers together with the customer during the feasibility study.
The Copper/Nickel Weka Box Cooler (90/10 or 70/10) is our flagship product. It allows the customer to avoid installing additional anti-fouling systems, as the Copper/Nickel offers natural protection against fouling growth (and this occurs without releasing copper into the sea, thus preserving the environment). Copper's high heat transfer capacity is also recognized, making this product more efficient than competing products (which use coated metal materials).
Last but not least, the Copper/Nickel Weka Box Cooler is virtually maintenance-free for its entire lifespan, a major benefit for shipowners.
